Regarding the big chance in the 1st half Beto needed to take a touch to take the ball inside of Konate. He either has an easier chance closer to goal from a better angle or Konate fouls him and is sent off.

He worked hard and scored a goal. Best option we have up top and I like his attitude etc but an accomplished centre forward slots or triggers a red card for Konate.

I cant get over this loss and wont for weeks.

I and everyone else here have seen derby losses before but the way we folded as the second half progressed and the inability of that bellend in the dugout to stop it happening was soul destroying. Like a deer caught in headlights waiting for the collision.

The turnout and support from our fans today and the atmosphere generated in our new stadium was all there and top class, and then to see that lot with a poor team gradually push for a winner and get it in the last seconds has floored me.

Symbolically, that is an almighty blow.
The manner of the defeat was comical. To lose it like that was farcical. Banter clubs lose big games the way we did today. Add on the fact we didn’t once test their Central League goalkeeper and it’s utterly maddening.

Big games have big moments

KDH foul from Jones
Beto "chance"
Narrow offside for Ndiaye goal
McNeil mistake
Losing Beto 2nd half
Losing Branthwaite

We settled for a draw and lost a point.

This season has been a huge improvement from the last 4 or 5 so let's not forget that but if have to use this as the turning point for this club not because it our local rivals but because they are in the positions we have to get to now

5 games to go - 15 points available - 6th to take

This was such a key moment in the game

A proper striker would have put that chance away and given us the lead

He made up for it with the equaliser later on granted but we need to get better in the summer
Beto is this eras Denis Stracqualursi - an honest tryer, but utterly out of his depth and bizarrely worshipped by a section of the fanbase.
Barry was done after the Arsenal away shenanigans. It's obvious why we're one of the lowest scorers at home in the league.

Striker has to be a focus area in the summer. With uber conservative Moyes as manager, I am confident it will not be addressed either. I am grateful for the stablisation he's brought to the club - we needed it, but the risk-averse tendencies that had some of us glad to see the back of him in 2013 haven't gone away.

We all know he is a bottler , therefore totally afraid of the " big " teams ,although I cannot stand him I do realise this season has been a relief so far but how the management cannot see his limits bothers me .
The way he plays players who are NOT good enough and ignores others than deserve a chance is not the sign of a manager that should be Everton's .I felt Gana ,who is in my top three players of the last 30 years ,is finished after this season .Not to worry if Moyes stays he will keep him and play him .Did he not see Tim Iroegbenum with Jimmy Garner when Gana was playing in Africa ?
Don't get me started on that crab called McNeil or whatever ,oh for Palace to come back .

In the other hand this could be the last nail in the coffin for sack Moyes
Sack him for what? Providing stability for the first time in ages? I'm not looking to do a west ham here. Also not looking forward to another spell of a manager merry go round. We looked good until beto got injured. I honestly think we win that game if he stayed on. At worst we would've drawn. I'd not be against another season of stability with moyes at the helm.
