It was his arm that was given offside I think which begs a couple of questions. Firstly i thought it could only be deemed offside if it was a body part you can score with and secondly what happened to that 5cm tolerance rule?
Nah, the arm was the Liverpool lad that they measured the offside from. Half JOBs body was offside. It was pretty clear unfortunately.

How we lost to the worst RS team I have ever seen, just inexplicable.

Thought the ref was terrible, gave us nothing - how were their players not booed for assault; he books Pickford or complaining!

I hate them, but honestly no need to be throwing bottles and coins at their supporters at the end on the way out, we are better than that- or we should be.

I mean, they won the league last year and spent £400m. They're even above us in the league this season so I don't see how you can be that surprised we lost. It's not like they're in the bottom 3 with Barry up front.

They have a really good side and will do well next season, but we more than matched them for the majority of the game. The Everton team was sent out to win and did OK, but for a couple of mistakes we would have. Something to build on imo
The result hurts but at the risk of sounding like Dyche that game came down to fine margins, we certainly weren't outplayed in the main by a team that has cost several hundred million more than ours.

One of those where on the balance of play none of the three results would've felt like a massive injustice.

Our goal would stand in the Championship and it should. I’d say the same if it were scored that way against us. Offsides should be clear and obvious. Needing a laser review because you might have seen an elbow too far ahead is terrible for football. Just terrible.
Let's be honest, you could see immediately from the replay that it was off and the lino should've spotted it in real time.

Frustrating game, we win it if Beto doesn't go off.

How many late goals have we scored this season? Must be 5 or 6 at least. This was the first meaningful late goal I can remember conceding all season, unlikely that we were going to go a whole season without it happening but just a shame it had to happen in this game.

Thank you. This post. They are in less form than recent years but they are still the better club and their results show it. They’re the team that should win. Them being off from last year doesn’t instantly make it our match to batter them. We’re not there yet.

When they’re struggling, they find ways to win. We sometimes find ways to lose. We’ll get better. But we have to be objective, especially when it comes to the RS. Only Evertonians thought this was ours.

Again, the narrative needs to change. It gets changed through consistent and long-term success not just because we want it to. We’ve been off that pace for several decades while they’ve gone the opposite direction.
