If it wasn't a derby I would be very confident of beating what is a good team on paper but struggling for both form and confidence on grass.

Similar to when we beat Chelsea, I was very confident ahead of the game and so it played out.

First 20 mins are key, not sure i agree with the blood and thunder approach of some, more don't let them get an early one and then ramp it up and they will crumble.

Play the man not the badge

They Lost main striker in week
Poor run of form
No wins away in 4
Were More resolute and at Home

I think the main thing is that we aren't passive. If they have more of the ball then that's fine, but when we attack we look like we're going to score. When they attack we want it to be going backwards and sideways.

I said earlier in the week we need to be right in the face of Salah and Wirtz early on. See how much they can handle the speed of the derby.

Really nervous, not even wanted to look at other results today, they don't matter, a win and it's maximum points.

Liverpool have their own failings and we can get at them.

Time for the noise levels to rise. Celebrate every tackle. Cheer every player on that pitch and when we burst the net, go absolutely mental.

Still nervous. But I'm going to believe.

I'd prefer if this game was at the pit
No way, these are the games our new home was made for (see Chelsea game)

Against the ‘bigger’ clubs we will make a huge atmosphere and as long as a team comes at us (they will) and doesn’t sit back - our team is built to deal with that and then hurt them

That’s the reason our away record was better than our home record, because teams have to attack more at home and we are best set up to play that way
