While I appreciate all the positivity coming outta this thread past few days...I personally dread this fixture annually...bad experiences down through the years I guess..be swell to change that this afternoon.
In other news we are mathematically now safe from relegation after spurs drew yesterday by my calculations. Onwards and upwards UTFT👍👍👍👍👍

…..the genuine positivity on here is a sign of the times, although the reality is the bookies have them as strong favourites. They’ve just lost in the quarter finals of the European Cup to the defending champions so obviously they’re decent but so are we.

There are fears;
their left side is capable of opening us up, Ndiaye isn’t the best at tracking back but he can cause them problems going the other way.
Gakpo ‘hits a heavy ball’, he’s capable from distance and needs to be closed down.
Salah isn’t what he was but he’s still capable.

Saying that, I think they’re fragile. They bossed City for 30mins before caving in. We have to hang in there for the spells when they’ll be on top and ride our luck because I think we can score a couple of goals and if we do we should get something.

💯 bang on the button there lad I reckon

I think the main thing is that we aren't passive. If they have more of the ball then that's fine, but when we attack we look like we're going to score. When they attack we want it to be going backwards and sideways.

I said earlier in the week we need to be right in the face of Salah and Wirtz early on.
See how much they can handle the speed of the derby.
Add Isak into this, if he starts. He's way, way off fitness, so you'd be making him fully aware of what game it is from minute one.
