Shots on target in 2015:
vs Liverpool: 1 (D)
vs Palace: 2 (W)
vs Brom: 4 (D)
vs City: 4 (D)
vs Hull: 3 (L)

Avg 2.8 shots on goal. We are not going to win hardly anything unless we are hitting the target more. If we lost and had 8 shots on target, i would see that as more progress. At the moment the problem is being covered up as we playing with 8 defensive players on the pitch

We are playing with more caution, Its not rocket science

We was leaking goals for fun a month or so ago and lads on here said Martinez was changing us into Wigan at the back, He's now slowly sorting that out and trying to find a balance and he's still getting blasted

A 0-0 is better than a 3-1 defeat were we have 7 shots on target

As a side note: we had plenty of shots in this game - http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/28906778

Laughing at Martinez getting slated for dropping one of our worst players over the last few months

Barkley looked ok when he came on for 5 mins, Lets see him do it from the off when he starts a game then maybe he won't be benched
But you could see that in those 5 minutes he had more vision than any other player. The moment the crowd stop groaning at him because he doesn't beat 10 players then slots it will be the moment we will see him start to develop into a top player. The expectations are too high.

Removing the context of the opposition/game, I'm not overly disappointed with that. I will happily take exactly the same formation and scoreline at Stamford Bridge.

Quite happy to see that Martinez knows how to set up defensively actually.

Think that's the problem, against Chelsea we would have been well happy with a point there, when it's the reds***e though, it just seemed too negative a performance.

Don't disagree that Barkley earned his dropping, but there's something to be said for Martinez bringing him on earlier in today's match. Naisy wasn't great, and, honestly, hasn't been great for some time.

They were the better side and we were at home. But I'll take a draw and write off the derby as what it is: a game that tells you nothing outside itself. We have all been saved the humiliation of Gerrard scoring in his last Derby and we didn't have the satisfaction of winning. I think the clean sheet might be the only take away. (Still: put along side all the other performances this season. We're [Poor language removed] aren't we?)

5 mins though

Bet you if he starts he starts losing the ball in his normal fashion and the crowd start getting on his back

He's been benched for a reason

Looking a lot more solid with Stones and McCarthy fit - pretty comfy against an average RS side.
Something seriously wrong in the final third - don't know exactly what's the basis of it but by God it's bad. Carry no threat at all.
