We are being taught a bit of a lesson in possession football and its what Martinez is trying to bring to Everton. At the moment we still lack the movement off the ball that Porto are doing so well and we are not being very patient when we do have the ball. Its still a project that is moving towards its goal but still has a little way to go. Porto are no mugs and we musn't get carried away with a pre-season fitness game.
And that's why McGeady and Barkley might be more skilful players, but Naismith and Pienaar are having better games.

we certainly need a regular player opposite mirallas and Lukaku needs a back up striker capable of leading the line

Cannot believe the fume, it's pre season!! Kind of wish pre season was how it used to be and not broadcast all over sky and the internet

I feel for mcgeady tbh. look on the other wing , pienaar playing quite good but has the options of baines and barkley to play the ball too.
mcgeady has hibbert and Osman , so he is just running into trouble and losing the ball. be a different story if coleman and McCarthy were on instead.

....pre-season friendly with both teams playing within themselves, hardly stirring stuff for the crowd. Understand Porto have 16 subs, so the 2nd half promises to be stop/start.

I bet some of you would say Lukaku was a waste of a singing if he was playing poorly in the match or his touch let me down a few times. So annoying reading some of these comments.

Chelsea are getting beat 2-0 by Werder Bremen at the moment and they're probably gonna win the league this season so yeah....
