shame its osmans testimonial and hes gave the worst performance on the pitch . the games just passing him by.
bring besic and mccarthy on for barkley and barry , put ossie behind Naismith.

Roberto Martinez disagrees. I'll take his view over yours on this tbh, especially when the guy is getting into positions to score goals.

I get the feeling that you're one of those people who don't like anyone who doesn't have an exotic foreign name.

When did I say I don't like Naismith? Please point that out to me

based on the snorefest of this pre-season, i won't be tuning in for next season ha. i literally forgot osman was playing, he's suppose to be behind the striker?

howard playing was totally pointless.

we got to work out how to play against teams who press high

I've been surprised by how well they've been able to press us from the front. Surely they can't keep this up for 90 mins?!

You're right though; a Plan B or an outball from these positions is crucial.

We are being taught a bit of a lesson in possession football and its what Martinez is trying to bring to Everton. At the moment we still lack the movement off the ball that Porto are doing so well and we are not being very patient when we do have the ball. Its still a project that is moving towards its goal but still has a little way to go. Porto are no mugs and we musn't get carried away with a pre-season fitness game.

Eh? Where did that come from? Bit needlessly confrontational, tubes. And from a mod too...

To play on your own up front effectively you need pace and strength. He doesn't have either. He works best playing off the front man, anyone who knows the first thing about football can tell you that

I'm with this view. Naismith in a free-roaming hole behind Rom. Rom with the freedom to switch with Naismith as they see fit, but chiefly Rom as the main man up top.

Ta mate!

And I know LOADS about football, I even understand the False 9 lad.

Isn't that one of those obscure bingo games the lottery offers now?

The goal was totally against the run of play. In the previous 20 minutes we'd hardly touched the ball, and the few occasions we got possession we couldn't string two passes together. McGeady looked like a fish out of water, surprised he didn't try swapping wings with Pienaar.
