If our second choice full backs weren't good enough to play at the weekend then they weren't good enough at the start of the season. Was it always the intention to play Delph and Iwobi if/when there were injuries?

The full back position has become one of the most significant in recent years, it requires a specialist player with some pace and technique. Delph has neither and I can count the number of good games he has had for us on the fingers of one hand. It was no surprise that he made no impact upon the game before going off with a hamstring injury as a result of a sprint mid way through the first half.
