Hi guys, I am a Tottenham fan from Germany. I think you guys should be proud of the effort put in by your team today, if this was my team last season we would have capitulated after such an early goal and Chelsea would have won about 8-0. Your team came back into it and pushed Chelsea pretty close. I agree that it is not ideal to concede 6 goals at home but I can't see the likes of that happening too much. I see many criticise the amount of over 30 players in your squad but Everton has so many exciting young players too! Lukaku, Barkley, Coleman, Stones, Mc Carthy, Besic (please do not judge on todays game) as well as one of the best young managers in the world! Tough game today but the future is still bright for Everton! My team will try our best to make your rivals Liverpool suffer tomorrow

I can understand fans/neutrals saying how exciting we were to watch but the current side has alot of echos currently imo, to that of Middlesborough in 1997. Fabulous on paper but made some horrendous, self inflicted errors and unbelievably got to both cup finals and went down. You need a balance in this league and the defensive side has been neglected so far.

I think Baines and Jagielka, especially Jags, are completely out of sorts after the World Cup. Both of them were national scapegoats and it effects players with their mentality.

I'm sure Jags has zero faith in himself after that. The press will be all over him again - as they were in the match. Caught out at the "top level". (Missing out Cahill and Terry letting in 3 also) again.

The only way to fix it is that he has to keep playing.

All this bollocks about "He's turned them into Wigan" is nonsense. It's the same team, the same system, the same players, from last season with the 3rd best defence in the league, and a club record of clean sheets (if I remember right).

That just doesnt get thrown out of the window. To me, they're just ill prepared mentally and physically.

it was a disgrace , I know it happens but I would hang my head and tut if any of our players did that and I honestly don't think they would. they have class. Not much class in defending though

I think we will keep our good start up for a while but I expect Christmas to hurt us. I just want to see my team play good football again. We were horrible to watch under Villas Boas and Sherwood. A top 6 finish will do for me considering the competition at the top this season.

I try my best to go to White Hart Lane 2 or 3 times a season but studying in college I struggle for funds. Was hoping for a Europa League game in Germany but unfortunately we didn't get it, instead we go to Turkey, Serbia and Greece. You guys got some nice games against Lille and Wolfsburg, should be very exciting ties.

nice bloke indeed , I saw martinez ice bucket challenge and Jags was in it in the background , his antics and nice but dim way reminded me of the Simon character from inbetweeners.
Great player over the years but he looks like he has lost that something he once had. has been lacking a bit.
Im not here to blame him but our defence is definitely weak. Teams watching that today dont need a game plan against us just wait for our defence to mess up coz it happens every game

there is nothing positive to take from conceding 6 goals at home and losing. nothing

The way we conceded the 5th goal was disgraceful to get back in to the game at 4-3 and this give them a goal so easily shows there are serious problems. The problem seems that our players don't seem fit and we're completely unable to defend. I don't think it was a wise decision to spend 28 million on Lukaku, he simply isn't worth that amount.
