I wasn't on the match thread in the first half, but checking that vaulting I am honestly shocked at that reaction to Naismith. For me at the time it was the right sub, him or Lennon, as the tactics called for a "ratter" to come on so it was like for like.

People need to get a grip and realise certain players are needed for certain roles - not everyone needs to be doing stepovers.

There's been a consistent anti-Naismith vibe amongst certain members of the fan base practically since we signed him. I've heard boos and vitriol from some in the crowd. But then he wins them over. Don't really hear it at the ground as much anymore but online there are millions who just want someone with a foreign name who can do stepovers on, instead of a give it your all player, that has an underrated intelligence and tenacity.

[Poor language removed] em. He's blue through and through. Gives his all and isn't a total bell like most footballers these days.
