I know we are delighted but I actually don't think we were that great throughout the whole team today. Arsenal were very weak so we didn't really have to be, but there was lots of poor decision making by the attack. We wasted good chances to punish them a lot more.

However the main reason I say this is because it makes me imagine how bloody good we will be in the future when Bobby adds a bit more quality!

Arteta having a go at Barkley hahahaha inabit lad.

All kicked off in the tunnel, I hope Barkley levelled him.

They looked to have sorted it out as they were leaving the pitch, he had a chat with Baines, kissed and made up, then shook Ross' hand too.

wait, what? extrapolate please!

Well I can't really, but there was a bit of commotion and my Dad reckons Howard sprinted from the pitch and started dragging people out the way. Whether he was going to peace make or land a dig I don't know.

Games like this have rolled around every couple of seasons, and every single time we have crawled into our shell and been bullied by the teams we are told are 'bigger' than us. The amount of opportunities missed out of sheer fear has been unforgivable, and I thought those times would never end.

We kicked the living sh*t out of Arsenal tonight. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. From the moment Osman dislocated his eyeball trying to cut Sagna in half, it was clear we weren't going to get pushed around. But to be as tough as we were, and then to play that sort of football at the same time was incredible.

Martinez bitch slapped Wenger so hard his face will be ringing for longer than it takes him to do up his ridiculous coat. Lukaku as a right winger? Get me the tank.

James McCarthy has been our player of the year. I assume he's currently still running laps of Goodison.

Ross Barkley played his best game in the PL, Leighton Baines played his best game for the season and something strange has gone on with Steven Naismith, because he's turned into a damn fine footballer.

To see Baines give Arteta what for after spending the last three seasons being all polite and respectful was fantastic. Not because I hate Arteta, but because we were finally behaving like a ruthless, winning team.

I still don't think we will get fourth this season, but it's not the end of the world because we are going places. Finally, FINALLY, plucky little Everton is dead and our manager is hell bent on recapturing everything the club has stood for. And that means not playing the underdog card, that means inviting the pressure and reveling in it. It's what good clubs do, and it's what Moyes was, and perhaps still is, terrified of.

And the players believe it too. Does Romelu Lukaku look like a player keen to head elsewhere? Does he feck.

There have been some great moments this season, but none have matched this game. This was the match, with everyone watching, to sound the warning and let them know we aren't going to be treated like minnows anymore. And for the first time, they actually did it.

What a day.

stones was a tad nervy at times, but still put in another monster performance. giroud offered no threat whatsoever.
