If we want top 4 we have to blow away the "lesser" teams.

After whatever happens in the Chelsea game I fully expect us to batter West Brom and Palace.

can't see Roberto leaving us for another prem team. if he gets offers to return home to spain i could see him tempted in a few years but Im hoping we push on and he stays for a while

Naismith's been our best player in the opening 2 games. Why would we move him. Basically been playing. no.10 role and playing it well.

I'm more fumed with the Leicester result than the arsenal one tbh. For 70 odd mins we showed exactly what were capable of and not for tiring really badly would have had a great win. A point against arsenal is never a bad result.

Dropping 2 pts against Leicester and simlar teams will be what would cost us a 4th place finish!

I agree - not enough credit is being given to Wenger in all of this.

The true defensive howler yesterday was putting Lukaku on the right wing. This also contributed in no small part to the tiredness.

I bet Arsenal couldn't believe their luck that we did this for a second match in a row. The suprise element of the tactic was gone and they had clearly prepared for it.

If that's the case it will be really interesting who gets the nod ahead of him against Chelsea. Will it be Osman, Atsu, McGeady, Gibson or Besic.

I hope it's Gibson or Besic as I really think we need another person in midfield and Naismith is pushed out into the Pienaar role of linking up play. I definitely think he has the ability and will might even be able to get some goals too.

It will probably be Osman.

I think Osman played his way out of any future starting 11 on Saturday tbh mate and i think he will go back to McGeady though like you i think it could be a good game for Besic or Gibson to play in.

Total nonsense! You did see our second goal, right?

Brilliant first half. Run out of steam last 20 and Arsenal just kept coming. Roberto went for the win bringing on attacking players but unfortunately by that point we weren't retaining the ball and actually feeding the forwards.

The subs didn't work and I personally was thinking we should have brought Besic on instead of Atsu. That's not how RM plays though and sometimes it goes wrong.

A lot of knee jerking in here. The fact we are upset that we didn't beat a strong Arsenal side just shows we feel that we are making strides and are hanging with the big boys on a more even keel.

Anyway it was a bad last 20 that's all 36 games to go COYB. Still think we need more bodies in, essential.

Funny how the pundits seem to think this was a good tactic. I'm on the fence on this one.

Re: the big fella when he went off my missus commented that she said "didn't do much did he ?". This was the first time I've seen him live .. not quite the beast he's made out to be .. moans a lot at teammates and his arrogance is not warranted. In fact he needs a slap.

Other observations ... Atsu's soooo tiny, even Carzola looked bigger. The under 18's squad generally looked bigger than the subs. We were in line with their equalizer and it looked like Jagielka ducked .. and whoever is passing the spliff around the dressing room at halt-time .. stop it !!

Sorry mate - can't agree with that. Jags was straining to make the header and it was a dipping cross. It was Distin, who was marking Giroud, who didn't make the challenge - even a snidey nudge in the back to put him off would have done it. Giroud had a free header, standing on the ground.

Giroud was technically fouling Distin. Pulling him down by the shirt and hampering his jump.
