Yes roll on 10th COYB
It isn't about where we finish this season. We've pretty much secured a spot somewhere between 7 and 12 already. It's about getting better so maybe, one day, we are capable of actually pushing toward the top of the table. And also being enjoyable to watch. Today was progress on both fronts and well we won too so a decent day all around I'd say.

Even going off the appalling standards of this season Taylor was probably the worst ref we have had, how we got 5 yellow cards and Bournemouth got none was utterly ridiculous.

Thought they showed great effort in the 2nd half, got the crowd going.
Delighted with the result but poor poor poor refereeing.
Awful ref. Seems par for the course now.

Nice to hear the fans giving him some abuse. Not heard chants towards the ref in a long time. We need our fans to be angry again (like we used to be) not just passive-aggressive.
Because the ref was a dildo.

That isn't good enough today. Not by a long chalk.

It was pitiful even for most of the second half when we turned the heat up enough to get the first goal.

But it's all about experimentation this season.

Nil Desperandum....

Pickford - Barring one or two decisions, made some big saves and showed the bottle to come out and slide at feet. Much needed for him.

Coleman - meh, was okay, still finding his feet again but looked more comfortable with Lookman there.
Zouma - solid game, not a massive fan of his as hes dozy but strong game and great header.
Keane - Barring his absolute nonsense touch again, decent game.
Digne - Wonderful.

Gomes - struggled opening 30 (like most), but from then on was key member
Gueye - Excellent.

Lookman - best game hes had in an Everton shirt. Nothing rash, confident, mature.
Siggurdsson - awful opening 30, terrific 60 after.
Bernard - Thought he was superb today aswell today.

Richarlison - struggled first half, had a bit more joy at times but referee was so biased against him it was untrue.

Amazing how on 70mins the fans got behind the team and the players looked like a second-wind had hit them, energetic, pressing. Mixture of fans reacting to a good press and the players riding it.

Made the difference in the final 10 that.

Nice to see tonnes of passion, fight, energy in the team as well.
