Not sure we should buy or sell anyone in January. What would we do if Gerri, Rom, Ross get injured. We would need the Mirrllas, Naismiths and Osman's of the world. Perhaps Pienaar and Hibbo leave for free quietly in the summer, no harm...
Don't mess with stuff for the sake of it we will get injuries...

There's no value in the January transfer market. Players are definitely far cheaper in the Summer. Definitely.

A-- With the Euros there could be a few players not getting games who we could sign + also teams who are out of Europe + the odd one whose value will keep going up as they improve.

B-- McAleny, Osman,Hibbert,McGeady,Pienaar and Oviedo cant get near the team and really shouldnt either. Thats 6 players already and if you add Gibson (who should be sold if hes fit) as well as Mirallas who seems to be off then its 8 players in 2 windows.

If we sign a keeper then one keeper will also be off so 9 players and thats not counting Naismith.

Personally i think its just a matter of when they all go, this or next window. Not sure its clever to move out 5 or 6 in one window...think it should be staggered and balanced with a top signing.

For the LW/LM position i think its going to cost big money but could be the catapult we need to turn wins into draws and boost morale of our young stars.

Think one point your missing mate is what players would be missed? Easy to list the squad members who could leave but at the very least

at the very least would be missed, all play in the team when fit, in some capacity.

Piennar, why we keep paying him i don't know, thought he was fit ages ago or about to be passed fit? Hibbert, move into coaching as the lad has been a great servant. McCaleny should have left a year ago.

Point is mate, we won't be getting rid of any player who can do a job in the team and quite rightly so. If come july only hibbert/Mccaleny/peinnar leave then we are no worse off in any way. Lose any of the others then we will be, even from a sqaud perspective.

Good players cost more in January and Martinez knows he'll get more quality if he waits until summer plus he'll have the Stones/Lukaku money

I'd take Goalash Shtopalotov, he's great.

Again mate easy to say that but considering Oviedo and gibson both played this season so far and Osman in the cup, naismith scored a hatrick, all very useful SQUAD members, Squad being the key here.

Gibson may be 5th or whatever choice, but he still came and played when he needed him. The other thing to take into account as well, these are the players on lower wages than the first team, and if not than any extension would lower them (because they can always leave). How much do you want the club to spend on players who aren't guaranteed a game and have to knock about doing nothing most of the time? Or more importantly, who would you relegate to this role?

Martinez clearly feels this way - i do like how he sort of sticks two fingers up to this transfer deadline extravaganza sky have made windows out to be.

I don't know who would say no faster the club or player. Isco gets games for Real Madrid. He's not going out in loan
