If Gibson goes on loan then its adios to him with his contract up in the summer and i will be delighted to get him off the books.

as for mcgeady, he should be made available on a free transfer and his wages subsidised if needs be just to get him away from the club...total waste of money.

Very odd figure if true.

Cant see him going for under £60mil and even then we need to pay Barnsley a %. Better to go to barca and get players plus cash so we pay barnsley less and get some quality in at the same time who know the barca system and so should be able to play the way martinez wants.

Andros Townsend, im not sure what has happened to this lad, seemed brilliant when he broke through a few years back. Perhaps he just doesn't fit with the manager. if we could get him back playing well on the Left, I think he would be an improvement on what we have in that position.

We would still need:

GK (one or two)
RB (competition for coleman) Byram ?
CM (Competition for Cleverley) No one linked
LW (2 new players) Balde from Lazio linked
CF (competition for Lukaku) Dembele fulham linked

For the amount of money and the fact that their contrats expire in the summer i think we should be going in for Byram and Dembele now.

I think once Naismith and possibly Mirallas,McGeady and Gibson are moved on this window then we will start seeing some action.

Opinion, not conjecture.

Think Martinez is pretty much following the script so far...just needs to create some space now as so much deadwood. Thankfully 5 out in summer and he just needs to jettison a few more then the side with the right additions would look almost complete.

Gradual process so far but about to change.

Also good we didnt hear anything about tarashaj until almost done...good were going for these types and mori as it shows the strength of our scouting network.

Would rather have Mirallas there all day long. And even if we were looking for an option there, Townsend should be a mile down the list. A classic example of media driven over-hyped Spurs player. We could do better for cheaper elsewhere.
