Lord Bendtner just announced he's leaving Wolfsburg in January.

How big do you think that shed is? There's a fancy lawn mower or two in there already too.Put all the deadwood in the FF shed and set fire, then all sorted in one go!
Imagine the faces of those at the insurance company when they find out how much those lawnmowers are worth! How big do you think that shed is? There's a fancy lawn mower or two in there already too.
Echo also saying, trying to sign Sam Byrne but a deal is unlikely to be straight forward, have they literally just cut and paste the Yarmolenko write ups and replaced Yarmolenko with Byrne?
EDIT: Well i'm just going to go ahead and ignore what that article says because obviously Sam Byrne plays for us already and I assume it actually meant Sam Byram from Leeds. Superb journalism there...![]()

If we do get rid of Naismith, McGeady and Gibson, that must be about 10 million pound in the bank and 120k a week off the wage bill surely? And then if we were to sell Mirallas and get another 50k of the wage bill, we would have about 20 million Euros and 170 odd thousand pound in weekly wage savings to play with. Just saying that we could get a serious player with that amount of money, and it would effectively be a zero net spend and wouldn't adversely effect any FFP wage concerns that probably don't even exist.
Read an article the other day, which may not have been accurate, which reported the highest paid wages at City etc, and they aren't all on Rooney money at all, and most are 'only' on about 120k a week. Arteta was on 75k a week years ago, so you would think that the likes of Lukaku would be on a bit more now maybe, circa 80k? Anyway, it means that we are already some of the highest wage payers in Europe and with the new TV money our ability to pay some of the highest wages in football is going to increase. So we should basically pay Nolito's release clause and offer him 120k a week.
It would be a bit of an upgrade from McGeady, Naismith and Gibson, and can theoretically be done with a zero net spend! lol

Not disputing that but I can only see one player that will get 120k or more and that would be to get Rooney backlol I understand where you are coming from, but people would have said the same thing about spending 28 million pound on a striker not so long ago. The Nolito thing will obviously probably not come off, but our capability to sign serious players should not be underestimated. We literally could afford to sign another star player if we wanted to.

Naismith is considering an £8.5m move to Norwich City while Championship clubs have inquired about taking McGeady and Gibson, both Republic of Ireland internationals, on loan. Celtic are also interested in a reunion with McGeady who, like Gibson, needs regular football before the European Championship but the winger’s wages are prohibitive. Everton want any loan deal to cover the players’ wages in full.
