No I agree. We need a left sided midfielder. Sending Pienaar back in time 5 years or so would be ideal.

Played mostly on the right through his Boro (1st spell) and Villa days, tbh. Moved left at Liverpool and then played as a midfielder for W.Ham and now back at Boro he's a No.10.

Mentioned it in another thread but my ideal player to replace Pienaar (more like for like) would be Bonaventura from Milan.

If not, and he's looking to play someone there who could fill the Kone role, then Didavi from Stuttgart.

Those two are short of Yarmolenko, but I believe that may be a pipe dream.

You sure you're not thinking of Boyko, the Ukranian 'keeper - he's supposedly off to Sevilla.

Only links for Yarmolenko to Spain are tenuous ones (TribalFootball and the like) from two weeks ago about Real Madrid perhaps having some interest.

We really needed that signing so that Kone and Naisy couldn't even be considered for the starting lineup. We actually have a very solid rotation of wingers; I just wish Martinez managed them a little more properly. Lennon and Gerry played well yesterday and I'd like to see Mirallas contributing in some way soon. I will say that I love having Cleverley; he is the perfect squad player. He fits all across the pitch.
