Yes I’ve been wanting to get tickets for a few months now and tried to renew my membership a couple of weeks back but would not work. I’ve had countless issues over the last few years with the app/website logged in then click buy tickets it then asks you to log in again onto the next page and asks to log in again this has went on for over 3 years absolutely awful site and app, the other day was saying I couldn’t renew due to age, only thing I can think of is having my daughter down as well, but had no option to renew hers or take her off its an absolute joke.
Maybe realised they've a few empty seats, and pushed through a sneaky change

Possibly tells you a story about shifting them at the moment.
The club may have reacted to attendances falling to 51K+ for Wolves and handed out instructions to get these tickets shifted ASAP.

Well I got in touch the club and they have answered my question...
"Thank you for writing to Everton Football Club and for your continued and valued support.
As it is a standalone ticket and it is not included with the Season Ticket, it cannot be transferred or resold.
At some point, the club may look to change this rule, but it is permanent for the time being."
So it's a rule. I really don't know what to make of this.

More of Everton become a "giant", and being cold and heartless without any of the success to back it up.
Tricks like that are similar to what United, City & Liverpool do.

Ditto. Quick check there looks to be about 5,000 seats available mostly upper tiers.
Yes, they've done that weird thing again where most of them are back row. I wonder if they were originally reserved for fan club allocations and a few have already said their members can't make it on a weekday evening.

So they are now e-mailing people who have forked out big money for a season ticket, inviting them to buy tickets for games that their season ticket is for? Thought there were 30,000 on a waiting list and we should have been building a 60k+ stadium due to the demand to see our might blues.
As a season TKT holder, I've wasted enough money already , thank you very much Everton.
