Everton Ticketing Changes

The membership will be a thing of the past after next season, I reckon.

They've seized the opportunity in the first year, and when the novelty wears off (which it is doing), they'll have no choice.

The whole lack of transferability is a real pain.

You'd think that rather than leave so many seats empty some STH's would be giving their tickets away free of charge on the ticket thread here. Might help people get to more games who might not otherwise be able to afford it - it's a very expensive season when you're paying full price on the resale site as well as having paid the membership.
Yes, there are a group of 10 of us with season tickets and if one of us cant go we give it away free to someone in the group so someones kid can go or something, my lad has had a few like that this season.

The way it should be mate.

I see a lot of people on here saying it's too hard to give tickets to friends or family coz they won't buy memberships which is fair enough, but surely it's better to give the ticket to a blue who you might not know, who has got a membership and can make it. The odd times this season tickets have been offered for free they usually get snapped up really quickly.

Not my experience that.

Yes it’s been much harder than in the past to get tickets, especially in the last year at Goodison but as long as you were able/willing to put the work in when the tickets went on sale, you’d often get some.

I hadn’t bought a ticket for a few years after having kids but then my lad took an interest a couple of years ago. Managed to get to +10 games last year (9 from buying from the club and 1 a lad from here) and have got hold of every game I’ve wanted this year (some in the ballot, some resale) bar the Derby.
Not saying it was impossible, just harder to get tickets than pre 2016. Had a membership for 16/17 season and there were hardly any tickets available. Certain games last season, people said bots scooped them up. Just making the point in past you could easily get tickets without membership, so it was easier to get people into match going bug. I know from personal experience that people within club have easy access to tickets to hand out, even for big games. While club did right by young Australian lad for derby game, people ignored he spent 300 quid for his ticket. At GP people could always pass season ticket on, and current situation of changing kick off times last minute affects attendances as well. Think they'll be more empty seats once novelty of new ground wears off.
