"Everton That" moments

Buying Alex Nyarko, giving him a 5 year deal despite work permits only lasting 4 years

Forgetting to put a contract offer to Dan Gosling in writing, meaning he was able to leave on a free transfer rather than us receiving any compensation

Radzinski going on strike to force through a transfer to *checks notes* Fulham

Employing the only opposition manager to ever publicly ridicule us as a club

Us fans getting really excited that FINALLY retrospective bans were being brought in for diving!

No more Gerrard starfishing, no more Suarez going down like he was shot, no more United players swarming the referee to force decisions…

No actually just ONE ban to Oumar Niasse because his fall when he was tripped was quite clumsy and then forget the rule and never speak of it again

Everton that

We are well known for being an unlucky club and a a club that's run very poorly. So what would be your most Everton moment be? A personal favourite of mine was Richard Wright getting injured at Chelsea by falling on a sign saying not to warm up in that exact place. Another 1 was when a limited amount of fans were allowed back during lockdown and some fella got a seat right behind a post. Another would be doing everything other than getting Danjuma to sign contract and him going to Spurs.
But two of those were positives

The way the club adopted Bradley Lowry as one of our own.

The fans absolutely refusing to let the club be relegated when everybody else had thrown the towel in.

Not everything that’s ‘Everton that’ has to be negative. Admittedly most is like.
Your not wrong there’s a lot to love about the club….well maybe some stuff anyway.

Losing the league title in 75 by 3 points and still contrived to finish 4th !!
Lost home and away to the bottom club Carlisle United, we were 2-0 up in the home game, win both of them and we'd have been Champions.
We were 2-0 up at home against Sheffield Utd with about 4 games to go in that season and a victory would have put us back on top.

We lost 2-3.

Finishing 4th only for the RS to win the CL, and us getting knocked out by Villarreal .Couldn’t get more Everton that!
Clocking up 72 points in the PL, which nearly always was good enough for top 4, and finishing 5th.
That same season we beat Arsenal 3-0 at home which put us a point behind them I think with a game in hand, only to lose the game in hand at home to a struggling Palace team and topped it off losing 2 of our last 3 to end up 7 points behind them.

Brian Kidd but not Ray Stewart getting sent off in the 1980 FA Cup semi-final.

Ray Stewart converted the equalising penalty.
