Signing Henry Onyekuru for £7mill and being unable to get him a work permit, never played for the club.

Tbf that one wasn't a terrible one. We doubled our money on him after 2 years

From what I can see, a fair amount of these are down to sheer bungling and incompetence - so, it’s not just the cruel hand of fate at work here - we’ve been our own worst enemy a lot of the time.

Benitez was the tin hat for me.

Not only had he insulted us as a club and as fans, but not only did we appoint him, but gave him a mandate to rip the club to pieces from the inside out and get rid of anyone he didn`t like - ie our most creative players who immediately saw him for what he was.

That really was " only at Everton ".
