What was it that Martinez said about transfers, it got cut out of the youtube footage like they didn't want people to see what he said. Alan Myers said 'i think we have a tea party exclusive!' i know he was joking about but wondered why it was cut out.

Yeah, the original thing was about 1 hour in length.

I think there were a few things said during the anecdotes with the Communications team that from a legal standpoint they might have been leery about putting out on the internet permanently, such as Archie Knox threatening people with violence. I don't know this for sure, so this is just me guessing, but maybe that's why they're just putting out edited chunks.

I think... I felt when I arrived at the club we were a little bit... we didn't want to show off our history. We were a bit 'Well, we're not allowed to win trophies anymore that's for other clubs' and I always thought well first we should be proud of our history and I've been at clubs who haven't won the league 9 times, have never won the FA Cup, and I felt the players didn't know they were representing Everton - a club that have won the league 9 times. You can't look away from it - you have to embrace it, and we have to win titles.

Death knell for Moyes to me. That signifies everything I feared about him - that he thought of us a small club, with no hope and no more than a disposible stepping stone in his career.

I don't want to go all RAWK but I can't think of anyone I'd rather lead us into battle than Martinez. He gives you bravery for the soul... it's hard to explain, but he makes you believe anything is possible. And making people believe that is something he thrives on. He loves it. He's not afraid of it.

It's early days but he has all the makings of a legend. I am so happy we got him, he was always my first choice - I loved what he did, how he operated and how he conducted himself at Wigan - but he has exceeded even my expectations. He's magic.
