Moussa Sissoko is available for €2.5M. Why don't we sign him?
That has Newcastle all over it i'd say. It would be worth a pop though i would have thought.

Tbh i think i would rather we went for a big signing and pay in installments against the Sky money if thats is remotely possible.

A 23 years old French international central midfielder is available for €2.5M. Surely a better option than Neville. I hope Moyes does know about this (should be).

Is he? He was highly rated once upon a time but I think he's stagnated somewhat recently. Still, he'd surely be an upgrade on Neville.

If his contract isn't up this summer, he won't be available at this cut-price. We should aim to sign these international players in this situation as we can't afford them normally.

I have a massive weak spot for black french midfielders for some reason so i dont disagree he'd be an improvement. Im just not so sure we will get him seeing as Newcastle seem to be trying to set up a french penal colony in the north east.

Weird that Kenwright gets the blame. How the payments are broken down doesnt matter, there is lots of down payments and then the rest spread over time with conditions. At the end of the day he went for £9.6m- thats too rich for us.

I think the big positive we take from this is that it looks like we have money to spend and we are looking at an area that needs improving- central midfield.

And we are looking at a fairly big signing (on reputation)
