Everton Summer transfers 2021

Im a bit surprised weve not shifted out Delph, Gomes, Kenny, Iwobi or one of Keane/Mina.

The ones like Baningime help of course but it would be nice if we could move on more players quicker.
Are you?! Other than Everton, can you think of one club that would pay their current wages let alone a transfer fee?

Doing well is relative. You can't expect us to compete for Europe spending £1.5 million whilst the top sides are spending £50 million+ on international quality players.

You need to come to the acceptance of if the board can't adequately back Benitez this summer they wont be getting rid anytime soon.
"You all have to understand that we were going to be great under Benitez, until we weren't, it's all Brands fault. Top 14 is a massive achievement". ForeverBlue92.

Ultimately we finished 10th with the team who finished 11th looking the better side.

Utd have spent over £100 million on Sancho & Varane

Leicester, Arsenal and Spurs are both spending on decent quality.

Villa have signed Buendia & after Bailey

West Ham and Leeds will also still be around.

Realistically if the window closed tomorrow I would expect us to finish anywhere from 9th-11th.
If we finish 12th would you want Benitez out?

Yup Ancelotti alone was on £10mil per year, even if Benitez is on £6mil, similar to Moyes/Koeman/Allardyce we’re saving another £4 mil each year.
By all accounts, we are paying Benitez, a manager with no other offers bear in mind, a similar wage to the wage we were paying Ancelotti. Crazy.

Of the others most want rid off:-

Sig £100k
Delph £80k
Tosun £80k
Iwobi £ 60k
Kenny £20k

The problem shifting that lot is the time left on the contracts compared to the fee’s paid. Siggurdson was £45 mil on a 5 year deal so would need £9 mil back to not make an accounting loss, Delph was £8mil on a three year deal so we’d need about £2.6 mil back and Iwobi was £28 mil on a 5 year deal so £16.8 mil would need to come in to break even on him. Kenny would be pure profit but can’t see anyone paying a significant if any fee for him.

Other external factors may change at least one of these situations of course*

Gylfi 8.9 mill
Delph 3.6 mill
Iwobi 21.4

Are the book prices. Tosun coming in at 4mill.

Also people are calculating any savings wrong, it’s not just saving on wages it’s also amortisation from the books.

For example the cost to the club per annum in wages and amortisation:

Walcott: 9.61mill
Bolaise: 8.85
Bernard: 6.24 mill (wages only)

Thats the guts on 25 mill a year on those 3 players alone in the accounts.

That Iwobi figure is puke-inducing.
