Yeah just saw that. If that's the case, unless it's for a low fee (unlikely), we should probably avoid. Hard to say though, as I've been concerned about us potentially doing a Giroud with Broja. At least we would have someone in this way ?‍

I don't think so.

I think we are just buying time , delaying the problem.

We have to face reality at some stage.

It is the same as the economy isn't it @peteblue ? You either cut costs ( reduce wages ) or increase income ( sell players for a profit and / or increase sponsorship and other revenue streams. In reality it is a combination of the two.

We did release a few players, some on very high wages, if the case is what you describe Id think that would work in our favour - unless the new signings are on massive wages as well.
