I hope so too.

He's an asset going forward and if he can just add a tackle to his game and positional awareness he'll be a welcome addition.

Dave is complimenting a former Rangers player

Defensive stability comes from the shield a midfield can create for a defence.
Hence why our defence has been terrible since Gareth Barry & James McCarthy

Are you suggesting our current centre midfielders...

... aren't up to ... the job?!??!??!?

surely not!?

Needs must.

We're an utter joke and dont look like getting too many in after near relegation.
we need another orange-sashed away kit to make him feel loved.

maybe get a goodison brass band (as in trumpets and trombones... not escorts and hookers)

Longer term yes. First half of last season, no.
Seems a bit pointless. Digne is unarguably the better, far better, creator in the final third. That’s really all that matters.

True, first half last season, FSW wouldn’t let the fullbacks go beyond the half way line - not really surprising then Digne didn’t create as much. The team barely looked like it would create or score a goal on the downside.

Lampard came in and he seems to favour a lot of the attacking play coming from the fullbacks/wingbacks. Can guarantee, had Digne been playing for a Lampard, he’d have been a very useful creative, productive, player in the final third.
