I'd definitely take Walker-peters I've always thought he was solid if unspectacular
This link is absolutely baffling to me. Patterson is taking over from Coleman. As long as him or Mykolenko don't get injured then full back has suddenly become our strongest position.

Having got Tarkowski in would happily raid Burnley now for Cornet and Taylor, two of the brighter spots amongst their relegated dross. Cornet must have a release clause and Taylor only has a year left on his contract. Both cheap and effective, if not particularly glamorous options.

I don't think a signing like Cornet makes sense either if we want value for money, patchy record and frequently injured. You have to risk it sometimes, we know exactly what we're getting with someone like Winks, sure there might be little risk involved, but there isn't much upside either.

We need young players with potential that can be sold for more than we paid for them or we'll keep treading water financially
His recent injury history doesn’t look too bad…

I think Patterson will go on loan next year, I feel Lampard doesn’t feel he’s anywhere near ready. More so if we sign KWP.

Two seasons ago Lyon qualified for Champions League semi-finals with Cornet as left wing-back.

No idea if he was happy with playing wing-back, but if Everton are going to play with wing-backs, a player like Cornet could be useful.

You'd hope but I'd even be open to patterson and wp sharing games until patterson becomes fully acclimated. As dutiful as Coleman is, I think he's ready to retire or have a more minimized role

We have one his name is Ben Godfrey.

He’s not going to offer anything going forward for us if we have to use him long term. I also think he’s in Lampard’s plan for first choice centre back (especially if there’s three at the back). We can’t guarantee Mina’s fitness and any chance Lampard has had not to start Keane he’s taken it.

Wouldn’t surprise me if Tarkowski Godfrey is his first choice pairing if Mina is sold or unavailable.

Walker-Peters — who joined on a permanent basis from Tottenham Hotspur two years ago and has since broken into the England set-up — was linked with Everton last week but despite firm admiration, their financial problems would make Goodison Park an unrealistic destination for now.

Cant even afford him.
I mean you could probably write that for every player we’re linked with for a fee. Think we’ve got 1 signing for actual money in us this summer and the rest needs to be scrimping and loaning.

Its a bad call wanting another full back when other area's are crying out for new players.
We have Patterson/ Coleman RB , Mykolenko/ Godfrey LB and if push comes to shove Holgate can and does fill in.
Fwiw imo Godfrey's best games for us have been at fullback.

No more full backs please.
