just don’t sell there’s not a desperate need to!

We dont know that though, do we. Either from an accounting/P&S reason, or maybe we assured the PL that we would sell an asset when they agreed to our accounts being adjusted.

From a pure footie reason, I fully agree though, unless an offer was from a club that Richie really wanted. No amount of ale and wine will convince me he joined Everton as a step stone to Spurs.

Can anyone clarify, there is loads of talk that we need to find £90mil by July 1st or face a points deduction. The only "source" of "note" is the athletic though. Is there any thing in this? I thought it was common knowledge we were in the clear as far as points and pinishment go. I mean, no one is taking over a club that has just been docked 30 points or whatever it is.

I just asked if anyone had heard about it. Not a moment of freaking out, keep trying though, bed wetter
Yup, totally chill, Apologist.

Indeed, I mean im really, really, really not using this as a stick to beat Gordon, but he scored 4 goals and 2 assists and people are turning their noses up at 40m.
He barely played for Preston on loan and was only given game time under Benitez because of injuries

He has potential and showed against Liverpool that his pace can cause sides problems but his end product is lacking and his crossing is erratic at times

40 mil would be fantastic business if we sold him at that price

Only reason not to sell would be sentimental because he came from our academy

Spurs are very keen on signing Everton forward Richarlison, everton reportedly hope to conclude a deal by June 30th and Richarlison is looking like the most likely of Everton's assets to leave and Charlie Eccleshare states "Negotiations are progressing and are at an advanced stage. Spurs hope to sign the player and the expectation is that they will make a bid." With the deal in advanced stages, it is remain to be seen if Spurs get their man by Everton's FFP deadline of 30th June. [Thursday]

Harry Winks is still said to be of Everton's interest and "Discussions are still ongoing, a loan with an obligations is an option that is said to be a possible option for all parties" - Charlie Eccleshare, The Athletic. With Everton's FFP issues it looks like the club desire is to spend money in a years time, which would also link in with potential takeover of the club.

It was reported recently that Everton have been offered Tottenham Cast-off Steven Bergwijn as a part of a potential deal for Richarlison. However, Charlie Eccleshare has said "Everton are interested in Bergwijn and have made this known to Tottenham. Spurs are willing to let the player go." It seems Ajax's interest in Bergwijn is stalling and a move to Everton could help strengthen an already healthy relationship with Spurs.

Also in recent reports is Tottenham Hotspur's interest in Everton forward Anthony Gordon, The Athletic's Eccleshare stated that "Spurs like Gordon but Everton are extremely reluctant to let him go." As it stands they are not countenancing the idea of a double sale to Tottenham. Everton are clearly not interested in allowing to of their major assets to depart this summer and it looks like it would require an astronomical fee to make this possible.
