The sine wave of like-dislike ended very much in the dislike trough with Barmby. Played ok, then a bit poorly, then bucked his ideas up, got an England shout, left asap. Tit.

McFadden used to drive me spare, it wasn't quite hatred, but I'd hate myself for putting myself through the agony of seeing him on the teamsheet. So many falling overs, like a knock off episode of 'bottom' where he ended up on his more often than he took breaths.
