The first goal where Robinson ran from just outside his own box to cross has been shown a lot, there was also a similar cross from him in the second half which lead to a goal but which was disallowed. A promising start, only negative was he was part of a defensive shambles which should have cleared the first goal against. That’s what it’s all about for him, improving his defensive capability, he’s shown he’s a good attacking full back/ midfielder, so a run of games at LB will be just what he needs.

Just seen highlights, Robinson is RAPID. Watching Baines today, I feel he should have been kept as a back up.
If he stays fit he’ll get to play 40+ games this season, that’ll really do him the world of good. At this stage in his career it’s important he played every week for another season to really continue his development.

Hopefully he can have a wonderful season and get him ready to be in the first team squad next year.

..I recall a couple of the US lads on here mentioning he had an impressive debut.

He was very good against France in their final friendly before the WC, with basically the entire first team in there for them. If he can hold up (and even excel at times) against France, he's got a chance to make it here one would think.
