Everton must wise up to cynical opposition tactics, say Martinez

Dunno if I am just imagining it but It seems to be Baines who puts the ball out all the time.

Baines must never be captain, again.

Harsh words that mate but agreed he should never have done what he done. As fans we know we are a soft touch for things like that and fair play so if we know it damn well the opposition knows it as well. Baines should have flew down that wing and banged in a 35 yard skip wiffle wallop bender blinder and be done with it. The thing that pissed me off most was Arteta banging in the pen minutes later.

Finally ffs, me and me dad went ballistic when Baines knocked the ball out of play.

If someone wants to sit on the @ss and moan while a game's going on, play the ball into a dangerous position by their goal and they'll jump up as if their fart's a rocket engine.

spot on mate. Tired of us being soft saps for others bullcrap antics

So I think we've dissected every second of the game last week and vented at everyone to blame.

Did it ever cross anyones mind that Baines had no-one to pass it too....you know because everyone had stopped...no. Oh well. Back to blaming Joel fisting.

Forums where people can discuss things and give vent to their feelings clearly aren't for this Minimeister fellow.

I was pleased to read how Bob was annoyed the ball was kicked out of play for it shows he's not soft. It's not cheating playing to the whistle and I'd like to think that, if anything, the press will say it's a good thing that teams are now carrying on. What I want to see is ref's giving penalties when the likes of, say, Skrtel (to pluck a random name out of the air ;)) grab or climb all over an attacking player when corners and free kicks are taken. The sooner certain referees grow a pair and the FA sanction a clamp down, maybe giving away a penalty and/or having a player sent off might encourage certain managers to sort out their own Skrtels!

I've said for a while now i really do think football needs to come out and state:

"Play will stop for a head injury, any other type of injury, play will continue until the referee decides to stop the game"

This stops players hitting the deck and naive players kicking it out, it stops attacks from stopping, it stops the ridiculous drop ball with noone contesting it.

Imagine the likes of suarez hitting the deck, rolling round and play just continuing around him. Much better game than the now scenario of him hitting the deck, players stopping and booting it out, then he recovers instantly.
