Tbh in today's market if we could pick him up for 20m + add ons it's probably a risk worth taking. Rather have a hungry young player than some 29yr old coming for a payday.

Totally agree, but then £25-30m seems to be the going rate for a championship teams crown jewel, so feels about right.

Then factor in the £30m for bolasie and he already seems good value at £25m.

A product of our youth team, he was great for us (albeit League 1) and you could tell he was going on to bigger things. Another example of a sh*tty decision by our sh*tty owners. I believe we have a small sell on percentage so hopefully Man City buy him for 100mil.

Hard to say if he's worth 30million in today's crazy market. 2 years ago, that figure would have been insane to suggest that. Since the new TV deal though and the last couple of seasons, anything is possible.

I haven't really followed his progress much since he left but from the start you could tell he had serious talent. Give it a couple of seasons and that 30million won't sound so crazy.

If someone does buy him, my guess it'll be around 20mil + add ons.

Have a villa mate and he says grealish was the one sparkle of the season. Really grown up over the last year supposedly. 40m would be a hefty punt though

I've never seen him play but I prefer this young hungry player from the championship model than over the hill reject or best player from bad Premier league team model Walsh employed.

We have to remember Moshiri is only a Billionaire - singular.
In 'old money'
25M is like us paying 5M for Lescott, Jagielka or Baines...you'd want a bit more than youth potential.

From his YouTube montage he looks a class above the Championship, but all about whether he can make the step up against Premier League Midfielders. He needs to have a strong head on his shoulders as less of his tricks will come off and if he was in Goodison we aren't always the most forgiving crowd...
