Everton keen on Bristol City left back

I blamed that solely on Bill trying to get him on the cheap.
Maybe we’ve made mistakes on who we have bought but at least we seem to be paying the asking price if we want a player.
Tosun and Walcott were done relatively quickly in Everton terms.
I think Moshiri has learned from Bills handling of the Siggy transfer

No, it was all down to the CL group they got in the end. Cant recall the exact details, but they wanted one they half a hoped of progressing from I think. Or the other way round. But that was the deal breaker. Everything else was done. Paperwork at GP, contract sorted, the works.

With City now out of the cup then surely a bid to the tune of circa £10-12m should do the trick here?

Said it before. The ideal gig would be the 2 left sided Bristol players, they just work. If they can step up? Who knows. But I would be amazed if Lansdown, their owner, would let them go this window.

I think CL got in the way twice. Once because they got a favorable draw to advance, and again the following January because they did advance.

It's the sort of approach Moyes used well. Buying solid young players, very ground in English football, early to mid 20's who didn't need a lot of polishing. As you say though, hard to prize away from clubs.

It’ll only get you best of the rest though mFor some reason there’s not enough young English talent coming through to the PL
England’s performances in recent youth world cups suggests the talent is there it’s just not getting the opportunity in the PL to progress
