Yeah, I hope he can be the catalyst to drag us out of this mire. If our form turns around once he's back I would suggest it will be more than just his playing ability that influences us but rather his attitude. If he helps us turn it around I would like him to be the next Everton captain.

Really, I was talking about things that the club has accomplished this year that I can look positively on.

The Blues are said to be in a three way battle with Newcastle and Brighton for the signature of Bristol City’s highly rated left back Joe Bryan, according to the Mirror.

It is thought £7 million is the Robbins’ asking price for Bryan.



Sam Allardyce is looking for reinforcements at left full back with Leighton Baines’ absence proving a real thorn in the Toffees’ side.

The 24-year-old scored Bristol’s first goal in their historic 2-1 win over Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter final back in December.
