Well obviously, yeah. I'm not trying to change Marcel Brands' mind here, I'm just putting forward my opinion on a forum, I don't really think the powers that be care all that much what I think.
I never said he was back up to DCL, I'm saying that losing him and not replacing him would just leave us with one less option than we have at the moment, in an area pretty much everybody agrees we're already short in. I don't expect him to start games for us, but I would imagine if he stayed he would get subbed on plenty of times between now and the end of the season. Since he got back from injury we have been behind in 4 games going into the last 10-20 minutes, and he has been subbed on in 3 of those games. When we're chasing a goal we use him, because despite being a very average footballer, he's not bad at putting chances away when they come his way. Ideally we would have options on he bench who are able to stretch teams with their pace, or have the ability to play defence splitting passes, or even just a battering ram who we could launch balls to. As it is we have none of those things, and one of our few options when chasing a game is throwing on Tosun and hoping he gets on the end of something in the box. It's a long way from ideal, but it's something. If he goes then I think some sort of attacking player has to come in to replace that option, whether like for like or offering one of the other things I mentioned, because otherwise the cupboard outside the starting eleven is going to be pretty bare.

If Gbamin is proving himself ready in the near future, I’d inclined to agree with you, when I look at Sigurdsson and Gomes as ninety minute players I shudder, shudder very slightly less at the thought of them as subs, Tom Davies is a squad player until he plays in a settled position, then he might show the ability to be a regular, when Allan is fit he definitely improves the team, could even captain it, he plays like a captain anyway as urges them on continually, can he stay fit? Doucoure proved how much the team needs him when he didn’t play the other night, Delph does a decent job when he’s fit but he seldom is, there is no one pushing up for a start from the U23’s in midfield, so I think, taking into consideration of what I’ve just wrote, that we do need another central midfielder, along with a striker.
There arent going to be big discounts in the Summer.
If they paying Aspas 35k a week they ain't gonna pay Tosun 70k.

This is probably why people are always a lot more reticent to move on the "dead wood" than people realise. When you actually look at the numbers you get, you start thinking is the risk really worth it for £1m?
I don't normally like piling pressure on the club. But if a few of the lads go out, they are taking a gamble if nobody comes in. I happen to think there might be some mad late scrambles for loans.
My gut feeling with Tosun, is for better or worse than manager would prefer to use Sigurdsson up top ahead of him.

Said before that I think he'd be a good versatile addition. I know I'll wear flak for it but he slots in anywhere left or right midfield and full back.
