I think that our incredible transformation under Moyes has pretty much guaranteed that we will see a massive investment in the squad in the summer.

TFG will.invest safe in the knowledge that Moyes knows exactly what he's doing , who he wants and that properly supported and given time there is no ceiling to what this club can achieve

I agree with the general sentiment but think it won’t be massive investment. In the Thelwell interview he played down some expectations saying it will be an evolution rather than a revolution. Think he also said something along the lines that we will still have some limits to work within even if the purse strings will be much looser than they have been for years.

I’m expecting a decent amount of players in for a fairly large outlay but nothing too extravagant . Still expect some areas of the squad to need investment over the next 2-3 windows even after the summer.

Hopefully I am wrong.

We could spend 200mi with 5yr deals it’s only 40mil and 50mil on 4yr deals
Think we could easily afford that,
I’d still expect a couple of loans and maybe a free transfer.

Yeah, when you look at what we've (not) spent in fees in recent years our amortisation number must be on the floor now. So with a new, permanent revenue stream coming from the stadium / naming rights etc we can probably accommodate the sort of spend you're talking about if there's the appetite.

True, could do. Just trying to read between the lines of Thelwell’s comments.

Will be interesting to see how much we spend.

Would love cunha here but reckon he's got that lot written all over him when salah goes....
Mad to think we were in for him but couldn't commit to the 35mill obligation

Yes I’m sure I read or heard on a pod about us potentially being over 100mil better off next Season, with the extra stadium money,
Naming rights like you say, all new sponsorship deals and all the extra ones
Added to the stadium, the loan interest payments dropped significantly and you’d imagine a small drop in wages.

Our baseline numbers won't be too far off Newcastles PSR wise from Newcastles first summer with the Arabs in charge.

They want Bowen don't they

West ham by accounts are reported to need to sell this summer before they can bring anyone in - very close on PSR, same for Newcastle as well.

Don't see a few others having much room either such as Brighton, Bournemouth and forest as all three have been spending a lot the last couple of years, widely reported that United are in a PSR mess also this summer needing to offload before doing any business.

United kinda budget expecting CL and lots of if their commercial deals are scaled on that, think west ham also will have budgeted expecting a top 8 finish with European footy.

We might actually be one of the strongest in terms of spending ability this summer.

Would be great if we could take advantage at the end of June like others have with us before
