actually only got into the Europe twice, the other 2 times never made it past the qualifiers
its like saying england were in euro 2008 becuase they played in some qualifiers

Needs to IMO!. We need another Jan like last, a couple of players signed up, albeit on loan maybe, to re-fresh the squad and add to the numbers to give us a lift for the final push for CL.
I think if we can add a couple of the right types of player we need, then we'll have a strong 2nd half to the season as usual and be right in the mix!.

I think that simply shows that being brilliant in the transfer market doesn't mean you're brilliant at everything else.
Just that we as a club right now need that brilliance in the transfer market.
And when wouldnt a Club need brilliance in the transfer market?
When they're Man City or when they're Ajax circa 1970.
If you have either lots of good players already or an unlimited budget then the main skills you need are man management and tactics.

IIRC it was Duncan Ferguson who he was always having a pop at, accusing him of only being up for the big games. He had a point there like. Obviously JR didn't like what was being written and there was a falling out.
Always thought he was more of a kopite myself as he used to praise them highly in his weekly column in the Echo.

I can't go on toffeeweb mate, I come over all melancholy and start mumbling. I bet I could find plenty of 11 year periods where we won something. But that's not really my point; saying Moyes has reinvented the club is over egging it for me.
That's not what the article is saying though. A rather over the top headline makes it seem much more radical then it actually is.
It's not comparing us pre moyes with current and saying Moyes has reinvented us. It's comparing Moyes current team with Moyes team from last season and saying Moyes has changed our style since then.
