Everton Fans Top A Table...

It's well known in the medical profession that people are woefully inaccurate and underestimate how many units they drink.

I'd say that this survey verifies how objective, insightful and honest Everton fans are about their lives.

Meanwhile the pie and chip munchers across the road, with a can of Tennant's export in their hand will believe they're eating salad, drinking mineral water, training for a marathon and are gonna win der league.

Where are we in the beak and green league tables? Stoke will be top of the brown league table, they even have massive adverts in their stands saying BROWN.

Really not surprising. Sums up the Goodison crowd quite nicely, this actually explains everyting. What with dead angry arses offering the away players, the ref and even fellow blues out every five seconds. The quiet depressed drunks sadly watching events unfold and not fully taking everyting in as they slip further down from their chair. The overly happy, hyper fans trying to get songs going that they've made up on the spot. The talkative knobs who spend more time trying to have a chat with the poor sod next to them then actually watching the match. The laughing arsehole who thinks everything is hilarious like the bellend a few rows back from me in the Gwladys who started howling with laughter after our equalizer on Sat. Ect....

I can remember them running out of ale at that Silverspoons for the semi final in 2009. They had to go the offy and get a load more crates in.

Everton fans consume more units of alcohol than any other group of supporters in the Premier League, according to a survey.

The study carried out by FootballTips.com was “carried out in a bid to gain further insight into the lifestyle of fans of the beautiful game”. For the purpose of the study, 2,400 UK-based adults aged 18 or over were quizzed, all of whom revealed that they followed football and supported at least one of the Premier League teams. Respondents were split evenly over all 20 teams.

Initially, all participants were asked “How many units of alcohol do you drink, on average, in a typical week?” and they were given a unit guide for reference. Researchers then found the average for each team, with the results emerging as follows:

1. Everton – 43 units (on average)
2. Crystal Palace – 40 units
3. Chelsea – 35 units
4. Tottenham – 34 units
5. Man Utd – 31 units
6. Stoke City – 30 units
7. Burnley – 26 units
8. Man City – 25 units
9. Liverpool – 23 units
10. Arsenal – 21 units
11. West Brom – 18 units
12. Newcastle – 17 units
13. Swansea – 15 units
14. Huddersfield – 10 units
15. West Ham – 10 units
16. Watford – 8 units
17. Southampton - 6 units
18. Brighton – 6 units
19. Bournemouth – 5 units
20. Leicester – 4 units

After this season, is anyone really surprised?...

I am not one bit surprise at this “award”.

Following this team over a lifetime would drive any man or woman to drink :pint2:
