Just thought i'd have a mini rant about other teams in the league and the perception fans from rival clubs have.

Firstly my bias is a genuine hatred for Tottenham & Newcastle which stems back many years.

Me too.

Hate Newcastle because of what you pointed out. The fans are utter [Poor language removed], how they think they are big club amamzes me; the media love them and everyone thinks of them as funny, when infact they are a bunch of metls.

My hatred for Spurs is down to the media, they are lesser successful team than us but our always considered on par with the big guns. The media jizz over them; Terry Venables, Gerry Francis and Glenn Hoddle managed them, making me hate them even more.

Newcastle , hated them for years even pre sky when they were getting 11 thousand, they were still a bunch off fookers,
your mate till they outnumber you, then think there big licks, shame as one to one there ok to talk to,
plus there mob are bellends as well. did a load of my school mates in when i was about 11,and tried to rob my john hurst rosette hated them since, they were fully grown men not kids, one of the worst ****house things i have seen in forty years watching the game.
Villa, boring, stupid daft scruffy meffs added to above just about sums them up, but on a plus point chicken george and his boys used to show up for a scrap at Villa , why did they bother , i have nerver seen a man get knocked out so much since Richard Dunn hung up his cloves, chicken took his licken like a man and came back every year,if he is still alive i salute you(,more than likely writing a book now about the villa cool cats saying how hard he/they were.
Spurs ,not arsed about them at all, play decent footy, fans on the whole know there stuff, and dont stink of Delusion like the above two

I hate every English club who aint Everton. I have a lesser hate for the proper traditional teams though, the 12 founders etc because I like all that tradition stuff.

Newcastle fans genuinely believe they are this huge club and other teams in europe respect and fear them. - Where has this come from? I don't fear Newcastle.

-They have a big stadium and fill it but if you only had one team in Manchester or Liverpool the stadium would need to be 30k bigger than St James Park. The number of fans doesn't make you a big club, it makes you a well supported club.
-They haven't won anything for years and years (I know we haven't really either) other than promotion, so i don't get the big club thing there.
-Finally they aren't rich so they aren't big in terms of wealth.

This brings me to my point, fair enough they played well last season and got themselves in a European spot, but Newcastle fans i know are talking about leap frogging Arsenal and Spurs to claim a Champions League spot. I'm Genuinely concerned for them. What makes things 100% worse is when i talk to Man United or Liverpool fans about this, they agree and talk about how big a club Newcastle are!

Sorry if i wasted anyones time with this.

Yes, only one team in Newcastle. But London has numerous teams, does that make the London clubs better supporters than us?

No, you need to look at the demographics for the region and if you did you would know that Liverpool is vastly bigger than Newcastle. They have good supporters, i actually don't mind them to be honest.

Man City though, like that Carroll pout who won the lottery.

I can find something to hate about every club.

That said I like Sunderland. Think MON's a tit but their fans are generally a cut above most in my experience, and a good laugh.

I really like Wigan. Dave Whelan's a blert but they're close, good, albeit odd, people, lovably gash and Roberto Martinez is ace.

I don't mind Fulham or Arsenal. Generally they have the best fans (again in my experience) out of the London lot. QPR are bulbs, Chelsea are so synthetic it hurts, West 'Am have Allardyce in charge and employed Kevin Nolan so they're bells forever. Fulham more so than Arsenal, because most Arsenal players as whiny little buggers that exemplify some of the worst things about football. That said I like Wenger, simply out of admiration, although he's generally a whiny bugger too.

City and the RS are the absolute worst. Don't mind United at all, know a lot of great United fans and for such a glory hunter attraction a lot of their fans are very knowledgeable.

Newcastle are bad, bad bells from head to toe. There is nothing good about that club. Well except the Andy Carroll transfer.

I like Stoke's fans, even if their football is badly gash.

Don't like Spuds. Crap fans in my experience and they're above their station for a team with less titles than Huddersfield. That said I heart AVB.

Swansea are good lids. Love the Welsh, play decent football, it will be interesting to see them post-Rogers. To be fair he gets too much credit as it was Martinez who really implemented their footballing philosophy change.

Erm... think that about covers it!

WHAT?!

I too dont mind Stoke fans and I dont mind their style of football.

Leave the bitching about them to the namby pamby Sky big boys who think its a disgrace that teams wont roll over and die for them.

Oh Arsenal, I really hate Arsenal. Arrogant pricks who think they invented the game. Barcelona can bugger off too.

Hmmmm.

Can't stand clubs that try to sneer and look down their nose at us despite them being [Poor language removed] all. So Newcastle and City for that mostly. Villa don't really sneer at us but unfortunately they're followed by hordes of slow talking absolute bellwipes so can't be arsed with them. Portsmouth for having zany mczany fans and that smelly big gobsh*te with the tattoos. Leeds have dull as dishwater uber wool types so they can bore me too.

Other than that it's just general apathy to most. What's our name?

It's all very subjective, isn't it?

In my experience I've found Stoke fans to be decent. At times they get a wee bit carried away though.
Booing Aaron Ramsey for so offensively having his leg snapped, abusing Tim Howard for having tourrettes and making an 8 year old kid cry by telling him they were going to batter his Dad are the experiences which come to mind when I think of Stoke fans. At the Britannia police seperate fans as soon as they arrive at the ground because them dickheads still think it's 1980. Not for me.

It's not really fair to let Portsmouth's fanbase be tainted by the tw*t in the hat. Anyone who's still a Portsmouth fan these days has nothing but my sympathy and condolences!

Again, subjectivity kind of makes this all a bit pointless. I know one Leeds fan, and he's one of the nicest people I've ever met. Very knowledgeable about football and generally uber sound. But you might know 10 Leeds fans who are all massive bells.

Fair enough like.

I generally go by personal experience. The Stoke fans I know are sound.

But as I said that's kind of pointless. The club someone supports really doesn't have much to do with their character*

*unless they're a kopite

Met him in a pub on holiday. He was wearing an unbuttoned leather waistcoat with no top on and leather shorts. Blurgh.
