It would be deluded and hypocritical to pretend that are fans our always impeccable at every away. I have heard disgusting comments and chants at the Manchester clubs in past visits related to both the Munich Air Disaster and Harold Shipman.

However, I was there last night and thought our fans were excellent right from the start. Never heard any Munich or Shipman comments or chants the whole game so I would argue that this has been made up. There were certainly no audible Munich chants coming from our end.

There were definitely one or two munich "chants", but I think people saying "the microphones didn't pick it up" are expecting those to be the whole away end singing them, which is what it'd take for it to be heard. There were definitely a couple of times I heard people trying to get them started but it was like one or two people at most

I also doubt United fans would go AS mad as a couple of those I could see in the upper tier if it was completely unprovoked either, it's definitely going to happen, it's different to hillsborough stuff as our lot don't have an emotional connection to it

Yeah, cause we were the grown men throwing coins at young lads when they scored the equaliser.

From all i could see, the lads about 15 of them, were generally just giving it the fingers, and goading them, certainly not anything inappropriate, so to be targetted by a few morons, and i stress a few, really spoils it.

As for the Everton fans, if they were disrespectful, i expect it to also be a 'few', if any at all.

Well in any group of 3,000 people you are going to get a number that let themselves down. It's likely less than 1%, and they will have had comparable numbers directing sick comments at our fans.

It's always the small percentage that give a bad name to the whole group.

I'm not pointing fingers at everyone and yes most would be extremely well behaved.

Pipe down soft lad
Sound mate, just as soon as you stop:

Tarring all supporters with the same brush...
And all that where there should
Hang your head in shame.

Accusing fans of disgusting behaviour despite Merseyside police and fans who were at the ground claiming otherwise...
On top of that a number of others thought it would nice to spit at fans

Calling other posters Kopites...
Course I do, considering I have known him for 10 years.
Your coming across a bit like a kopite

Calling other posters frauds for questioning your unsubstantiated accusations...
Just hit ignore, really not bothered what any of you think to be honest.
And I'd rather listen to a friend then a utter frauds like some of you lot.

Contradicting yourself several posts later...

You're a turnip you la

You scouse b******,build a bonfire, sign on, sign on, hubcaps, bindippers, not in any way defending a minority of our support, but this kind of diatribe goes on all over the country wherever we play, and has done for years, I still recall an incident at the Old Filbert Street Leicester, late 1990's,maybe early 2000's,coins were coming flying from the corner of the Leicester fans adjacent to the Evertonians ,they were giving all the above abuse about the area we are from and it was also going back in the their direction, a number of these lads in the Leicester end were of Asian descent and dishing it out, always remember a fella in front of me losing his rag and dishing it out to these Leicester lads, he got frogmarched out by the police/stewards and I can still recall him saying,"What about what they've been calling us?" I couldn't in any way condone what he had come out with, but to my mind you can't have it all ways, regionalisation to my mind can loosely be termed racism if you are on the receiving end of it too.
