Looking at your suggestions, Ive added the cream, but the rest dont seem worthy of the 'classic' team guernsey. Tony Kay turned out to be a crook, Collins made far bigger impacts at Celtic and Leeds. Carsley is the closest to a nod in the modern bunch (bar Cahill/Arteta who are clinging in there) and Im still looking for that left mid/wing man. Top call on Cresswell who could slot into the RB should Stevens be out with Lawton, Mercer, Mackenzie and Ferguson now nudging into the reserves team. Ratcliffe is in for Mountfield who drops out of the squad. Remember this has to be the best squad in our history. Steve Watson??

Johnny Morrisey was also a good provider from the left.

Mick Lyons for sheer blueness and versatility.

I'd also have Joe Royle before Sharp, and certainly in the squad before Dunc.
