My favourite bit from Thompson this weekend was on Soccer Saturday before KO and they were talking about the derby and Distin's goal. Stelling asked Thompson what he thought of the goal, to which Thompson replied 'Never a goal'.

Then Merson bursts out laughing claiming that during the week him and Phil had spoken on the phone where he agreed it was a goal but he would never admit it on air.

What an epic fool. That whole attitude runs through the whole club. You can get away with that when you win stuff regular.When your also rans you look ridiculous.
