Beating your closest and historic rivals for two seasons on the bounce is not to be celebrated you bad bells. You'll be taking pride in our history next FFS.

The best thing is, despite them saying it doesnt, it really does bother them that we've finished above them back to back.
Its quite funny seeing the meltdown.

What the F was I thinking?

We're Evertonians, we HAVE to be miserable 24/7 and even if anything good does happen we have to find something sh*t about it. All of our players are sh*te and I hate Goodison.

Exactly. Now you're a blue.

If spending, over the past two seasons, over a hundred mill to finish behind your skint local rivals didn't bother you you'd be an epic bellski.

Thompson has always come across as a bit of a bellend on Soccer Saturday when it comes to Everton. While they were doing well and we were mid-table or lower, it's easy for him to be snide. Now we have finished above them a call of times and he comes across to the whole nation as the most bitter person on the planet. Haha and they still call us bitters with no sense of irony

Let's be honest, the money they spend, they should finish above us. It makes it all the sweeter when we're the top dogs. It's not small time, it's just the way it is

You've got to hand it to Rodgers he did get the, 'we aim to finish second this season' bit right.

Can't wait for the envelop opening ceremony next Sunday before their lap of honour.

The 3 names in the envelops unveiled at the Kop end are Suarez Rodgers Gerrard.

Well in mate!

Don't think it's small time, I'm pretty chuffed about it. First time since the mid 30s we've finished above them in 2 consecutive seasons isn't it? Doesn't happen too often then.
No - we were above them for 11 or 12 seasons when they were in the second division through the 50's to early 60's

What's Thompson said now like?

No idea where it is but someone posted a video of him yesterday of his reaction to Charlie whateverhisnameis on SSN saying how Everton are the best team in Merseyside. He was putting his fingers in his ears and shaking his head and being like "NAAAAAA LAD". He looked utterly ridiculous.

Yeah, I agree with this. it's the first time we've both in the same league and we've finished above them twice in a row since ww2, but it's not our fault they couldn't even get into the top flight.

First time it's happened since Shankly got them promoted, though. Since then we've finished above them only eight times, three times under Moyes, the two league wins under kendall, both league wins under catterick and again under him in 64-65. And that's it.

I wish it had happened because of our ascent rather than their decline, but I'm still enjoying it. It's been too long. This is the first time we've unambigously had a better season than them since I was three months old.
