I know they were awful but it was good to have such a relaxed evening. DCL, Mangala with decent performances but Ashley Young was terrific. The goal, the cross that was asking to be converted in the first half, the cross for the disallowed goal in the 2nd and the block after the ball came back off the post (even though the ref blew for a foul).

Note; encouraging cameo from Broja. That’s how you impress when only given a few minutes.

Mangala was pick of the bunch there for me, broke play up, kept possession of the ball , tidy passes and of course his goal came in handy. Old Ashley was solid again and his goal contribution was vital to settle our nerves. Solid team performance against a very soft centered Wolves team.

Harrison with a 0/10 effort there. DCL will start against Liverpool but he needs a goal to keep his space after that imo. Doucoure and McNeil crap. Mangala and Gueye outstanding. Ndiaye both classy and wasteful in equal measures but I'd rather he continue taking players on and making the odd mistake than not. Young fragt - MOM and not for the first time -, full backs back to their best, Mykolenko no complaints.

Didn't McNeil pretty much get 2 assists?
