3 last minute goals, costing us 4 points would have us on 52 points in 7th but level with 6th place Bournmouth on points and GD... Very costly few weeks. Penalties not given could have seen us with another point or 2.

To me the worst thing is the Bournemouth game when their winning goal was allowed to stand despite it being practically identical to the one at Villa Park that we had disallowed a few weeks earlier.

If the Bournemouth game is a draw then they are only one point and one place above us right now instead of being sixth.

Is part the issue here that Rohl doesnt even appeal? It looks a nailed on pen yet the only one who reacts to the ref is Tarkowski, they were all round the ref after every decision.
Personally I want to see the club continue raising these unfathomable decisions At every opportunity. When we have, it seems we have got minimal coverage. There are now a raft of decisions which stink.

I would have snapped your hands off for a draw before kick-off but for me Illi was the culprit with so many missed /greedy chances to put the game to bed . We could have kept the press happy with our surge for Europe ! Good old Moyesy had a brainfart changing the side and look what happened ,back to normal next game . Tim and Röhl will be on the bench .
Moyes didn't miss Illy's hat-trick of chances.

I don't believe it was as simple as losing to Haaland in a foot race. Tarkowski himself stated how disappointed he was with conceding that goal. They were both (Tarks and Keane) poorly positioned and caught on their heels. It's not just speed of foot that is ebbing for Tarkowski, it's speed of mind.
No disagreement. The one thing they cannot do there under any circumstances is lose Haaland.

I believe mental strength is as important or moreso than physical. It's what separates the merely very good from the elite. It's also susceptible to fatigue, which is what we're seeing here in stoppage time.

I'm also a little bit surprised to hear that you are not disappointed this morning. Being 3-1 up at 83 minutes and 3-2 up at 96 minutes, how can you not be at least a little bit disappointed? Despite a point being a good outcome in abstraction, surely it's human nature to be disappointed when we had the game won?

I get it. Of course i'm not blaming anyone for being disappointed. Just being honest about my reaction, and I'm probably in the minority.

Felt like we traded punches with the best and came out even despite having been mostly second best on the day. As opposed to the derby, where a couple of once-elite players well past their prime took advantage of our weaknesses, on a day where we were the better side and poised to win. I really was curled up into a fetal ball after the derby. I walked away from this one with a sort of grim satisfaction, feeling like we survived, not without fault but with honor, and I think it's more than just the difference between one point and none.

We wus robbed once again no two ways about it.

Was Moyes right that there should not have been an extra 30 seconds ???

What annoyed as well was the feeling that all the commenting seemed to to be supporting City. Also like other comments e,g. Carragher.

What Moyes stated is that its at the refs discretion. We sent Armstrong on during a halt in play, we never slowed the game or stopped the game for the substitution to happen. Therefore, why has he added the time on. It's within their power to do so to prevent teams wasting time. Our actions were the exact opposite of us trying to waste time.

Its the same mentality as when we beat the mancs with 10 at old trafford.

That day it was 3 points dropped even tho they were never in a position in the game to get the 3 points.

They see it as points dropped for the "bigger" team as they don't give us a chance beforehand.

The arrogance is staggering.
Said to the wife at the time of Barry's 1st goal - the lino put the flag up subconsciously assuming we were in the wrong.

We do get some poor decisions, especially recently, but I almost climbed into the urinal with cringe after the final whislt hearing adults whinge about a deep state conspiracy and corruption. Absolutely put your big boy pants on and boo, like the good old days
