If someone offered me a point at half time, I would've bitten their hand off, I thought we could've been on the end of a drubbing. However, after being so close, it feels like points lost and so disappointment is the overriding feeling for me this morning. We were like a completely different team in the second half.

It wasn't given because it was deemed to be before the kick was taken. It doesn't look that way does it? And if that were the case, then the corner should've been retaken. So what was the VAR watching exactly?

I'm not one for saying the refs are corrupt, but this one goes a bit beyond the usual incompetence for it to sit right.

I hate to bring them into it but it was poor recruitment around that time compared to them. We signed Cottee/Nevin/McCall/Neil Mcdonald. None of them were top drawer. Over the park in 87 they signed John Barnes Peter Beardsley and Ray Houghton. The fact a few years later we signed Beardsley and he stuck out like a sore thumb in terms of quality among every other blue shirt tells its own story.

The ball was not in play apperently, although by the looks of that the ball was in play when he was thrown to the ground. I assume next game we use this rule to our advantage and wrestle all opponents to the ground just before the corner is taken.

I think the worst part is many just see us as existing, we are just a fixture in the PL, this has to change.

Its the same mentality as when we beat the mancs with 10 at old trafford.

That day it was 3 points dropped even tho they were never in a position in the game to get the 3 points.

They see it as points dropped for the "bigger" team as they don't give us a chance beforehand.

The arrogance is staggering.

3 last minute goals, costing us 4 points would have us on 52 points in 7th but level with 6th place Bournmouth on points and GD... Very costly few weeks. Penalties not given could have seen us with another point or 2.

Is part the issue here that Rohl doesnt even appeal? It looks a nailed on pen yet the only one who reacts to the ref is Tarkowski, they were all round the ref after every decision.

What annoyed as well was the feeling that all the commenting seemed to to be supporting City. Also like other comments e,g. Carragher.
