I don't know why a dive is needed for a shirt pull. It's a weird one. Did the ref give it because of the shirt pull or the dive?

Because without the dive they ignore it, if you dive it forces the ref to make a decision and var to review it.

And I hate it too… but the officiating is the issue.

I've said before these 'explanations' are nothing of the sort. It is just a commentary, we know VAR deemed it not to be a foul. Doesn't explain why the VAR deemed it not to be a foul which is what fans want to know.

Shocking refereeing aside, it's disappointing but that's all it is.

The game wasn't over when we were 2-0 and 2-1 up so we didn't have 3 points. Did we end up losing? No. Are we getting relegated? No. Will fans of other teams be spewing their guts about the ref and VAR in a few hours time? Definitely and most definitely by 6.30pm tomorrow.

It has always been this way and will always be this way. That's one of the reasons we'll be back next week. Football has been a business far longer than it's been a sport (even well before this blatantly corrupt version we have had since 1992). I'm glad I support Everton and nobody else.

He should be absolutely livid in that interview and behave like a Klopp or Ferguson but he has let himself and the club down there.

Agree mate there but Young should maybe have just stopped dead and got in the refs face, along with the other 10 players as other teams do to force a VAR check. It was shirt pull and VAR then maybe give it. Weird one that.
