Van Dijk pulling the good old "it's their cup final" not realising his manager rested near all of their starting 11 against Plymouth whilst we made 1 change from Bournemouth.
Doesn't saying that make it look like he doesn't feel like it's an important game for Liverpool, and their fans lap it up like good little sheep instead of being fuming with him for not caring.. Although It would have been more believable if he wasn't nearly crying when he said it.

Did you know the Derby record at Goodison is equal, so whoever wins this takes the all time head to head?

I’m sure this won’t be used to invoke any strong feelings of disappointment and inadequacy should Everton lose guys.
You would start to believe in a God. That god doesnt give a toss about Gaza or Ukraine, but he intervenes when Everton's fooballing record is in real danger.
I think we should stay at Goodison, it might be a holy place.

Honestly, I think they are pretty ordinary.

The difference is, they're unbelievably clinical and have fitness levels at unbelievable levels.

I've said in recent weeks, they're like a well oiled engine, just keep going and going and are effective.

I don't think they're necessarily a great side though. But everything has aligned for them, and still wouldn't be shocked to see them go far in Europe as well as winning the League.
If they lose Salah (I don't think they will FWIW), then I think that's an enormous loss to them. Not sure they would be anywhere near as good without him.

Even his goal last night, it looked pretty easy, but the first touch to get it out of his feet perfectly to shoot, was an incredible piece of skill.

It's great to stop them getting the win last night, but the point is still fine for them in their position, and they are going to win the league easily

…..they are not a local club anymore. Sure, they play in the City but they have lost their local identity. I read that they have the most season ticket holders who live over 100 miles away from the stadium than any other club. Look at our fans after that goal, that’s a club with soul.

It’s fine when they’re amongst the top dogs but that support is brittle when times get difficult. I remember tickets being given away in the pub before Klopp. Local fans get used to not going, they lose values on which the club was built.
35000 for Bolton at home under Hodgson. That is 10k stays aways

I love how lucky that last goal was, it truly was meant to be wasn't it. That game was dead and buried, they don't get a foul, the ball pings back off Harrison perfectly into Mykos path, his cross is awful and desperate but bounces perfectly into Tarks path who just leathers it.

I said to my dad that's a miracle because everything that happened before it was so impossible to me.

Really struggling with how the narrative is that Oliver really hates the RS. He was abysmal all game, and the free kick for the first goal and Gana no second yellow went in our favour, but there are about 12 other things that were fully biased towards them. How they lasted with 11 on the pitch (or even 10) for 97 minutes I have no idea. Give the penalty and we are out of sight.

Is it because they just get those decisions in their favour every week (MacAllister should have had 2 yellows the other week too, same as Bradley yesterday, and MacAllister too) that it's just accepted as "normal" and they really don't see it?

I’ve woken up this morning emotional and the tears are flowing. I totally understand the reasons for moving, but it’ll never ever be Goodison will it. The place was literally rocking back and forth, the atmosphere irreplaceable I’m afraid. We all hope the new place can somehow replicate what we witnessed last night, but I have my doubts I’m afraid. Goodison is the best ground in the world and nobody can tell me otherwise. It’s incredibly special.

Woke up this morning a bit conflicted about how I feel about that result. A 2-0 win would have been great, but I’m certain it wouldn’t have resulted in heads falling off amongst the RS like what happened did. They lost it last night in ways I can’t honestly remember happening that often.

Does Beto's recent goalscoring form look bad on DCL? I thought Dom was a much better finisher but I think my mind is changing. I don't think Dom scores that.

Not only does he not score it, but he definitely doesn’t make the run. People complain that we give him no service, but that’s because he doesn’t make those intelligent runs. In order to get the chances you need to put yourself in the positions to receive them, and DCL simply doesn’t do that.
