1st time I have really watched Liverpool, and lets; be honest.... they are an average team. Without a couple of moments from Salah (assist and the goal), they have nothing.

Think they are only where they are due to other teams being bad too!
They're no great shakes. In fact, this is a pretty fallow period for the Premier League, in general, certainly at the top.

All it took was a City implosion to show up the lack of quality. This is really why Arteta is looking so exposed. The chance was definitely there this season to win a title and they're not at the races. Forest being third - a great story and a welcome change - is an indictment of the standard.

This is by far and away the worst level of quality that I have seen in the PL in my memory. It has just generally been pretty devoid of anything. I can't help but think that all the off the field stuff with City has had a detrimental effect, skewing it an awful lot. So, regardless of who wins it, there should be a massive asterisk next to the winners.

I think we made them look average.

They normally bully teams, give them a couple of knocks (they know the ref will protect them) and the team capitulates, and the media then creams themself at how brilliant they are.

You give it back to them and defend properly and then you get what happened last night.

Pass between the back 4 then smash a big diagonal to Salah, they had 63% possession n 62.9% was van dijk to Robertson back n forth. Add to that the hatchet job they put on it was just classic Wimbledon. Absolute ale house team. Love the way we didn't commit an just stood there in shape, they didn't have a clue

O'Brien at RB by the way. Classic case of what can happen when you try different things. Kid was rotting on our bench under Dyche. Always think tall fullbacks look weird but he's been great since coming into the team. What he brings is height when opponents play diagonals into the channels so he's great at mopping that up. Defensively a presence in the box from setpieces too. Really happy for him.
