I normally quite like Palace and their fans, but they need to pull themselves back down to Earth.
They've never finished above 10th in the entire Premier League era and they are going on like they are Man City
Perhaps the poster does, the rest of us are mostly pretty well grounded.
If you go looking on any fan forum immediately after a defeat you are going to find some ridiculously mutant style opinions (including, from time to time GoT). The skill is not then to hold up the whole of their fan base as “entitled “ etc etc etc.

Wow, what an unexpected win! Huge to bounce back after the last couple weeks, and then the first half, and pull that out. Sometimes you lose some you think you certainly should have won, and sometimes you win the unexpected one. Alcaraz certainly has to be getting a lot more playing time. If nothing else he drives the other players on the team to up their game or he will take their spot.

It has taken him 20 years to learn to make an early sub like today it seems.
Not really. He did similar at West Ham and Sunderland at times. Granted, it didn’t really work very well at Sunderland, but it did often turn games for WHU.

There is truth in the idea he can be too slow to makes substitution, no bones about it. But he certainly can and does, at least this version of Moyes.

It comes down to coaching received wisdom too. Often not making changes and letting the players try and work their way out of a problem is better than trying to overly micromanage.

There was a game in the women’s U.S. Open (Osaka semi) where neither player seemed capable of making a decision on their own. Eventually the American girl started playing better, but you see the dangers of too much interference in many sports now.

Like in F1 - most drivers now are totally incapable of calling a tyre change on the fly. Vettel and Alonso were able to, but most couldn’t. No doubt Verstappen has a similar ability.

Palace fan here - certainly do not hate Everton. Got a soft spot for you to be honest, feel for you living in a city with that other detestable club there.

It was ever thus: death, taxes and us losing at Everton. Most of the time we've been deserved losers but you lot got away with one today, we should've been out of sight by 70 minutes!

Good luck for rest of the season, always see a few Blues in the pub I'm in for the home game and they are always nothing but sound. Again, unlike your neighbours.
Have a soft spot for Palace myself. Partly due to a sound Palace poster @Alan Whittle on here and partly the contrasting form you show at the two Merseyside grounds!

Wishing you the very best for the rest of the season (other than the return game!), you are playing some really nice football despite losing players and seem to have an excellent coach.

This is true, doesn't mean I can't enjoy the saltiness of the comments though - I'm sure you would if you'd have won:

The run had to come to an end at some time , but why v the loathsome Everton who should have been relegated about 3 times recently and they are not even a good team ( bitter fan here).
Cost us against a far inferior team.
Why did it have to be against this bunch of [Poor language removed] though? Thoroughly undeserved win for them, c****.
Maybe we needed bring back down to earth. But Everton. A scabby 2nd class team in a grand stadium, a s*** team with awful entitled fans. I’d rather lose to Brighton.

And my fav:

Feels like total robbery.

They should see some of the shocker handball ones given against us earlier in the season then.

It looked like a dive from our angle but after seeing the replay it was clumsy from the defender. Can you say it was ‘soft’? Maybe, but the defender didn’t get any of the ball and he’s completely taken Tim’s standing leg. Collapsed on it. One of those where you begrudge the dwindling physicality of the game but concede that it was an incredibly clumsy challenge. I’d be ballistic if Myko gave that away so clumsily. Nobody to blame but himself.
He was unfortunate because it seemed like he didn't know he was there but he definitely brought him down.

I take your point, but personally, no I wouldn’t. I would be enjoying our win and chatting it through sympathetically with my grandson.
It used to be enough that you could just win. Now, as much joy seems to be gained by the opponent losing.
I’m not holier than thou as obviously I exclude Br*ght*n and the RS from these sentiments.

I'll let yous off for putting an injury time one past that lot last week ;)

I didn’t even think it was soft at all tbh, was as stonewall penalty as you get.
